He was predeceased by: his son William Michael Mulkey, Jr.; his parents, Earnest Mulkey and Iva Mulkey; and his siblings, Maggy M. Hauck, Ida 'Melody Doescher and Joseph E. Mulkey.

He is survived by: his daughter Joyce Bowen (Jake); his sister Mary Cannon (Richard); his grandchildren, Ashley Sledge and Christopher Matheney; and his great grandchildren, Cayden and Carson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
