He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Sonny and William Scott Sr. Sonny; his sister Nora "Penny" Scott; and his grandfather Jesse Scott. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Ann Scott; his children, William "Calvin" Scott III (Linda) and Cissy Scott (Dennis); his grandchildren, James L., Avara, Jr., Crystal "Star" Avara (TJ Williams), Phillip "Lil Phillip" Lemoine, Jr. (Kenia Guevara), Breanna Scott, Isaiah Scott and Brelin "Bubba" Scott; his siblings, Margaret Scott and Lizzy "Boo" Stark; his son-in-law Phillip Lemoine Sr.; his close friend Tom Ed; his pets, Cuddles, Douglas, Maribelle and Ni-Ni; and also, Jeff and Lois Smith.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM and on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Amite Pentecostal Church (14054 LA-16, Amite City, LA 70422). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the Arcola-Roseland Cemetery (63409 Hill St, Roseland, LA 70456).
