It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valda Lou Ingram Jones (Hammond, Louisiana), who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clydell Ingram and Earl Ingram; her son-in-law Danny Polkey; her grandchildren, Sam Yargo and Kristi Moak; her brother Reginald Ingram; the father of her children Joseph Yargo, Jr.; and her sister Maureen Spence.

She is survived by: her children, Angela Polkey, Joseph Yargo III (Kim) and John Robert Yargo; her grandchildren, Lynette Brumfield (Neale), Christina Mitchell (Thomas), John "Nick" Yargo, Brandi Yargo, Brittany White, Courtney Yargo, Colby Moak (Rachel), Lucas Yargo and Megan Moga; and her siblings, Carolyn Fletcher and Dr. Glynn Ingram. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
