It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sally Russell Giacone of Hammond, Louisiana, born in Monticello, Mississippi, who passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Russell and Bonnie Wascom Russell; her son George; and her siblings, James "J. B.", Gene, Christine, Bonnie and Billy.

She is survived by: her husband Joseph "J. D."; her children, Joseph "Joey" Giacone, Jr., Cathy Giacone and James "Jimmy" Giacone; her grandchildren, Ryan Giacone, Brittany Giacone (Nicole), Alyssa Giacone (Tony Raines), Brooke Giacone (Chana), Haley Giacone (Jeremiah Eisenhardt) and Nick Giacone; her great grandchildren, Braxtyn, Isla and Krew; and her sister Barbara Joiner Alexander.
