He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeanette Fridge and Owen Ridgdell; his stepmother Ruth Ridgdell; his sister Sandra Pinion; and his grandmother Vida Adams.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Saizan Ridgdell; his children, Elizabeth Woods (Sidney), Ronnie Ridgdell (Stephanie), Shariee Hemphill, David Jones, Jr. (Shawn) and Matthew Jones (Staci); his grandchildren, Martin Lanier, Grant Lanier, Kayla Smith (Stephen), Laken McMorris (Kirk), Kamron Ridgdell, Sydney Hemphill, Meagan Benson (Graham), Brendan Ploger (Katelyn), Ashlynn Jones, Payden Jones and Mason Jones; and his great grandchildren, Amelia Rae Lanier, Ruby James Smith and Paislee Ploger. He is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, and other family and friends.
