He is survived by: his son Russell Clayton "Clay" Monroe (Wanda Lynn Wilson); his grandchildren, Wendy Paulina Monroe and Tiberius Clayton Monroe; his former wife Paula Streeter Monroe; his brother William H. "Bill" Monroe (Carol Monroe); his nephew Jason Monroe; his niece Amy Monroe; his sister Winnie Fern Land (late Bob D. Land); his nephews, Damon Land and Nathan Land; his niece Laura Land Broomfield; his sister Phyllis Elizabeth Diffey (Huey Diffey); his nephews, Eric Diffey and Layne Diffey; his sister Kathleen "Kathy" Werntz (David Werntz); his nephews, Myles Werntz and Evan Werntz; his niece Sarah Werntz Crum; his brother-in-law Rudolph V.
