He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Webb Goodwin; and his parents, Col. Thomas H. Goodwin and Virginia Watson Goodwin. He is survived by: his son Russell; his daughter-in-law Kelly Bittola; his sister Jenafay Foster; his grandchildren, Brett Bittola (Kailey), Amanda Knight (Benjamin), Kelsey Bittola and Lauren Bittola (Johnny Gill); his great grandchild Beau Robert Knight; and his nephews, Derek (Allison), Robert (Carmen), Jonathan (Becky) and Daniel Foster (Brandy).
