He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Luke and Eunice Martin Miguez; his son Stephen Miguez; his siblings, Stanley Miguez, Dolores Pritchett, Carlos Miguez, Alvin Miguez, Harold Miguez, Newton Miguez, Thomas Miguez and Jewell Condy; and the mother of his children Mildred Bennett.

He is survived by: his wife Glenda Miguez; his sister Juanita Naquin; and his children, Richard Miguez, Jr. (Maria), Darren Miguez (Cindy), Bryan Miguez (June), Stacey Bennett and Kim Brown. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
