It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Rownd Durand (Hammond, Louisiana), who passed away on March 12, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leslie Eugene and Sallie Sibley Rownd; her children, Ray Allen Durand, Jr., Linda Breaux, Debbie and Larry Jones; her grandchildren, Sherry, Mark Myers, Richard Breaux, Joel, Amy Jones, Brandon and Amber Jones; her great grandchildren, Devin Breaux James, Braxton Sharp, Kaleigh Jones, Breanna Sharp, Brayden Sharp, Rayna Myers, Kenzie Jones, Brody Jones and Bailey Jones; her great great grandchildren, Jordyn Sophia, Dahviene and Jayden; her husband Ray A. Durand; her siblings, Lionel Eugene Rownd and Georgie Henkel; her granddaughter Dawn Jones Sharp; and her great grandchildren, Tyrin, Connor Myers and Kamryn Jones.
The visitation will continue at the funeral home the following day, Wednesday, March 17, 2021, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana. Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home.
