She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Frank Bates, Sr. and Alyne Bates; her siblings, Henry Frank Bates, Jr. and Floyce Matherne; and her grandson Coltin Leblanc.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Harper (Marie), Sherry LeBlanc, Michael Harper and Tammy Harper Comeaux; her children-in-law, Becky Harper and Andrew May; her sisters, Joyce Bates and Elaine Notariano; and her grandchildren, Todd Harper (Danielle), Shayna Hogan (Kurt), Amy Barnes (Zach), April Joiner (Joe) and Brandon May. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
