We are sad to announce that on September 9, 2023, at the age of 83, Mary Imelda Laiche Bickford Matthews of Hammond, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John O. Bickford, Sr.; her parents, Warren J. Laiche and Imelda Kugler Laiche; and her parents-in-law, John J., Blanche Bickford, Ansil Bickford and Bonnie Bickford Burns.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Karen Bickford, Pamela Dawn Bickford (David Crowe) and John Orville Bickford, Jr.; her brother Warren J. Laiche (Elizabeth); her stepchildren, John V. Matthews, Jr. (late Deidre), Laura K. Bigner (Alan), Lois M. Ballard (Dewayne) and Walter I. Matthews (Teia); and her sister-in-law Jane F. Bickford. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, friends.
