He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Roussel (Flynn) and Gayle Roussel of Westwego, LA.; and his grandparents, Mary (Conway), Inez (Richard) of New Orleans, LA. and Fred Roussel of New Orleans, LA..

He is survived by: his wife Helen Rose Cormier Roussel; his children, Marion Kaycee and Marcus Douglas Roussel; his granddaughter Athena Kassidy; his siblings-in-law, Gretchen Adam (Paul) and Douglas Cormier Jr. (Bonnie); his cousin Debbie Laurent Pavur; his friend Trent Marcomb; his pets, Jewel, Daisy, Bailey, Dexter, Shadow and Sunny; his sister Shawn Kohler; and also, Edward, III and Nicholas Pavur. He is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests in memory of Mark Roussel that donations be made to the Amare Caring Hands Foundation which provides education and food to children in need.
