She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Monistere and Ninfa Nicolosi Monistere; her husband Emile J. "Rocky" Mayeaux Jr.; her daughter Judy Mayeaux Buono; and her grandsons, Andrew Vasquez and Brandon Mayeaux.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah M. Smith (Walter Jr.), Ninfa M. Boudreaux (Barry), Danita M. Mire (Gerald Jr.), Mona M. Pellichino (Russell), Michelle Mayeaux, Kenneth Mayeaux (Geri), Emile "Joey" Mayeaux III (Joyce) and Brian Mayeaux (Patricia); and her siblings, Nat Monistere and Mary "Bennie" Siciliano. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren.
