With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Sue Cowen of Hammond, Louisiana, born in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, who passed away on September 6, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Linda Sue may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Linda Sue touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Larpenteur and Lovelace "Bud" Fletcher; her husband Stanley Cowen; and her siblings, Hartwell Fletcher, Buddy Jarrel, Lloyd Fletcher, Betty Jerrel, Marilyn Scott and Doris Stanga.

She is survived by: her sons, Stanley "Lee" Cowen (Karen) and Ashley Cowen; and her brother Gene Fletcher.
