It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Frank Koerin of Hammond, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Beaulah Koerin, and Albert F. Koerin, Sr.; his parents-in-law, Cordia and Colmar "Sonny" Starkey; and his brothers, Albert Koerin, Jr. and Johnny Koerin.
He is survived by: his wife Valinda Starkey Koerin; his children, Kirt Koerin (AnneMarie), Leticia "Tish" McAllister (Russ) and Kellese "Kellie" Hebert (Kerry); his grandchildren, Colin Koerin, Kerry Hebert, Jr., Alaina "Lainey" McAllister, Brendan Koerin, Brantley Hebert Mizell (Trenton), William "Will" McAllister, Zane Mayeux, Kaden Hebert, Reece McAllister and Eason Hebert; his great grandchildren, Kambrie, June and Mallyn Mae; his sister Irma; his siblings-in-law, Laton "Cooter" Smith and Vernice M. Koerin; and his friend Gary Blackledge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
