It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Smith of Hammond, Louisiana, who passed away on August 30, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Ricky J. Smith; his parents, Benoist Smith and Ruby Smith; and his siblings, Benoist Smith Jr., William J. Smith and Rose M. Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce M. Smith; his daughters, Joy Winburn (Chester) and Cynthia Boe' (Kirk); his grandchildren, Ricky Winburn (Mindy), Ches Winburn (Kayla), Ashley Belanger (Wesley), Nicole Howell (Chris) and Toni Henley; and his great grandchildren, Caroline Christian, Madelyn, Luke Winburn, Elliana and Jonah Howell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
