He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariano Garofalo and Lena Giamalva Garofalo; and his siblings, Sara Garofalo Lloyd and Mariano P. Garofalo (Sonny). He is survived by: his brother Deacon Nat Garofalo (Jeanette); and his caregiver Maria Lloyd Brewer. He is also survived by other numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Southeastern Louisiana University Horticulture Department.
