He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Walter and Anna Walter; and his siblings, Betty Sicking, Mary Jo Graham and John Walter.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Walter; his children, Alan Walter, Rachel (Michael DiResto), Annah (Pat Cave), Sarah (Matt Meigs) and Jacob (Julie Walter); his grandchildren, Quentin, Ella, Lucas DiResto, Frances, Louisa, Walker Cave, Elena, James, Thomas Meigs, Andrew, Ben and Helen Walter; and his sisters, Florence Blevins and Rita Chapman. He is also survived by five children.
A Funeral Mass will be held for Family and Friends at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 N. Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401. Face masks are mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home and we ask that you maintain a respectful distance with the family.
