She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Jourdan and Jeanettie Dobbs Jourdan; her former husband John H. Mathis, Sr.; her husband Lewis T. Spear, Sr.; her son John Mathis, Jr.; her children-in-law, Margie Mathis and William Strickland; her grandson Jeremy Strickland; and her stepson Lewis Spear.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Strickland, Mark Mathis (Jeannie) and Stephanie Whall; her stepson Robert Spear (Lana); her grandchildren, Eric Strickland (Holly), Melissa Strickland Menard, Judy Strickland, Bradley Barbay, Stephen Mathis (Heather), Trey Mathis, Joshua Mathis (Tracey), Carrie Hollon (Joel), Nathan Mathis (Jessica), Joseph Whall, Andrew Whall (Erin), Matthew Whall (Kailyn), Dale Spear (Jenifer), Brian Spear (Sandy), Matthew Spear (Anna), Tara Fernandez (Justin), Rick Himel (DeeDee), Karen Maoui (Wahab), Kathy Warnken (Mark) and Lewis Spear, III; and her stepdaughter Nan Himel. She is also survived by 49 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
