With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Howard Hester of Hammond, Louisiana, born in Hawkins, Texas, who passed away on May 28, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Horning Hester; his parents, Johnnie and Allie'Bernice'Hester; his grandson Jesse David Hester; his siblings, Emma Jean Hester, James Fletcher Hester and Henry Curtis Hester; and his siblings-in-law, Trudy Hester and Todd Gibbs.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Taylor (Steve), Dan Hester (Amy) and David Hester (Gaye); his grandchildren, Brandon Taylor (Stephanie), Ryan Taylor (Kristen), Katie King (Jordan), Bridget Hester, Clark Hester (Arielle), Gabriel Hester and Jonathan Hester; his sisters, Peggy Irby (Connie) and Jacque Gibbs; and his sister-in-law Frances Hester. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
