He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tasker and Clydia Tasker (Bickford); his son-in-law Kerry Bass; and his siblings, Jennie Fleissner, Claudia Arce and Jessie Tasker.

He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Brecheen Bass; his grandchildren, Melissa Watermolen (Stephen), Allison Klemp (Bud) and David Bass (Christina); his sisters, Ruth Porter and Dorothy Carter; his niece Jane Hughes (Skipper); and his spouse Ivalie Goynes Brecheen Tasker. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
