He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Christine Morgan Picou; his grandsons, Hudson Picou and Jordan Gugliuzza; his son-in-law Vince Gugliuzza; and his parents, Alcide Picou and Evelyn Sanchez Picou.

He is survived by: his children, Darrell Picou (Gayla), Darlene Picou Delaune (George), Maureen Picou Gugliuzza and Donnie Picou (Margaret); and his sister Betty Picou VanVrancken. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Richard Murphy Hospice House, 1109 South Chestnut Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70403.
