With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elva Dee Gatlin of Hammond, Louisiana, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 9, 2024 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace "Wally" Gatlin Sr.; her parents, Robert Lee Killcrease and Effie Buhler Killcrease; her children, Troy Lee Garrett Jr. and Tracey Lynn Gatlin; and her brothers, Leroy Killcrease, Larry Killcrease, Bobby Killcrease, Jimmy Killcrease and Preston Killcrease.
She is survived by: her children, Staci Gatlin (Beaux), Crystal Miller (Perry), Travis Gatlin (Jamie) and Wally Gatlin (Marianne); her sisters, Wanda Garrett (Troy), Marie Boone and Susan Harville (Kim); and her close friend Joyce Walker. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
