He was predeceased by: his father James Arthur Barker; his father-in-law Ellis Edgar Bailey; and his grandparents, John Gillard, Doris Gillard, Lonnie Barker and Mary Barker.

He is survived by: his children, Bailey Barker Taillon (Lane) and Brody Edward Barker; his mother Helen Gillard Barker; his siblings, Traci Barker Simmons (John), Shelley McNemar (Clarence) and Jay Barker (Shannon); his mother-in-law Sherry Robert Bailey; his brother-in-law Michael Bailey; and his pets, Buck, Trout, Fancy and Dolly. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
