With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eazers Purvis in Hammond, Louisiana, born in Independence, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Purvis and Margie Anthony Purvis; and his brother Donald "Donnie" Purvis. He is survived by: his wife Tawana Hoover Purvis; his sons, Brad (Julie Purvis) and Chad Purvis (Crystal Candiotto); his grandchildren, Grace, Luke, Audrey and Brandt; his brother Gerald; and his sister-in-law Shereen Purvis.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM and on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home (2000 N Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA 70401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at the Old Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (25890 LA-442, Independence, LA 70443).
