He is survived by: his mother Helen Cunningham Hughes; his daughter Chassidy Leann Hughes; his grandchildren, Layla, Lexci and Lucian; his siblings, Richard Benton Hughes, Jr., Laurie Hughes Durbin, Darrell Lavonne Hughes (Sandy), William Carl Hughes and Byron Francis Hughes; and his nieces and nephews, Ashley Durbin Wells (Vernon), Kasy Durbin (Edgar Deville), Jarrett Hughes (Katie), Gabrielle Hughes, Kyle Scott, Hunter Hughes (Dara), Danica Hughes Ciresi (Ryan), Haley Hughes Bankston (Logan), Kialeigha Cook, Michael Speer Sr. (Jessica), Lanie Hughes, Shelby Hughes and Aiden Hughes. He is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
