He was predeceased by: his wife Terry Lynn Cox Tate; his parents, Alex Tate and Louise Harper; and his stepfather Leonard Ray Harper. He is survived by: his daughters, Felicia Donielle Tate and Laura "Monica" Cox; his grandsons, Jace Tate Parker and Jaxson Wade Tate; his siblings, Mary Harper LeDoux, Barbara Ingram, Emmer Baham and Alex Wilton Tate; and his stepmother Merline Tate. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
