He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wade Burchfield and Dura Allen May Burchfield; and his brothers, Jasper Burchfield, James Burchfield, William Burchfield, Bobby Burchfield and Billy Burchfield.
He is survived by: his wife Nettie Lynn Ingram Burchfield; his sons, Jon Kevin Burchfield of New Orleans and Jay Bradley Burchfield (Stacy) of Hammond; his siblings, Shirley Hodges of Itta Bena, MS, Delores Mullins (Jim) of Ferriday, LA and Allen Burchfield (Anna May) of Natchez, MS; and his grandchildren, Caleb Burchfield, Layne Burchfield (Marrissa), Adrian Burchfield and Magnolia Burchfield of Hammond. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
