She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward L. Brown and Daphne B. Brown; her grandparents, Thomas Aaron Godfrey, Bertha Guin Godfrey, Ollie C. Brown and Roine Jackson Brown; and her sister Janice Marilyn Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. Edmund Ogden Spiller, Jr.; her children, Rachel Spiller Garrett (Paul), Catherine Caldwell Spiller (Bill Rosenbaum) and Gregory Lars Duoos (Amy Thompson); her niece Janice Elizabeth Sanders; her nephew Douglas Daniel Brown; and her grandchildren, Matthew Garrett, Anna Garrett, William Garrett and Rachel Rosenbaum.
