He was predeceased by: his parents, Anderson Welch and Evelyn Welch; his grandson Jake Allen Welch; his daughter Vicki Lynette Welch Case; his siblings, Brenda Sue Venable, Evelyn Marie Turner, Peggy Ruth Eubanks and Anderson Welch Jr.; and his former wife Grace Simon Roe.
He is survived by: his children, David Wayne Welch (Carolyn), Tammy Gay Welch and Bobbie Hicks; his grandchildren, Jaime Welch, Chance Case, Waylon Raymond, Tiffanie Raymond and Autumn Raymond; his siblings, Donald Ray Welch, Gerald Wayne Welch and Grace Welch Simon; and his caregiver Martha Hicks Welch. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 8:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur (107 W Napoleon St, Sulphur, LA 70663). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
