He was predeceased by: his parents, Duffy David and Eumea Simon. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Monvoisin David of Gueydan; his children, Wesley James David (Paydra) of Broussard, Kim Lepretre (Isaac) of Gueydan and Christine David; and his grandchildren, Katie Hammers of Maurice, Allison Lepretre of Scott, Christopher Lepretre of Florida, Zachary Lepretre of Broussard and Parker White of Broussard. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
