She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Reese and Domitile Reese; her children, Beverly Touchet, Purvis Touchet and Darin Touchet; her siblings, Rodney Reese, Vernon Reese and Mildred Ann Marceaux; her son-in-law David Currie; and her friend Lucy Dugan.
She is survived by: her husband Wallace Touchet; her children, Kenneth Touchet (Rachel), Kerry Touchet (Maegen), Ronald Touchet (Linda), Brenda Abshire (Leward) and Lena Currie; and her brother John "JC" Reese. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Matthews Funeral Home - Gueydan (514 2nd St, Gueydan, LA 70542). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Peter of the Apostle Catholic Church (603 Main St, Gueydan, LA 70542). A burial will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the Gueydan Cemetery.
