It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Petry (Gueydan, Louisiana), who passed away on June 5, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Proford Petry; her grandson Billy Zaundrecher; her parents, L. C. Melancan and Inez Melancan; her brother Ira Melancon; her sister-in-law Dorris Melancon; her sister Jean Bowen Rogers; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Bowen and Smokey Rogers.
She is survived by: her children, Nona Zaunbrecher (Bill), Mike Petry (Buffy), Allen Petry (Debra), Sharon Trahan (Glen) and Angel Hair (Jack); her grandchildren, Tessa, April, Chris, Gavin, Derek, Ross, Scott, Taryn, Tori, John and Jared; and her great grandchildren, Tagan, Rylee, Mia, Cade, Ahni, Demi, Jaxson, Billy, Bobby, Brees, Taylor, Mikey, Tyler, Brady, Seth, Ethan, Whitney, Ava, Carter, Cason, Skylar, Tori and Zack.
