She was predeceased by: her husband Sheldon "Chalk" Reese; her son Dennis Reese; her parents, Nolan Abshire and Augusta Badon; her siblings, Curtis Abshire, Joseph Hebert, Wallace "Black" Abshire, Hazel Hardy and Mattie Weekly; and her great grandchild Gavin Overley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Abshire (Howard) of Gueydan and Ramona "Fee" Reese of Gueydan; her grandchildren, Rachel Reese, Julie Nelson, Joey Reese, Vashti Pope, Wyte Reese, Chris Abshire, Nadine Lepretre, Jodie Mayer, Heath Abshire and Caitlyn Delhomme; and her sister Audrey Pego of Sulphur. She is also survived by her 17 great grandchildren; her three great-great grandchildren.
