She was predeceased by: her parents, Oneidas Meaux and Velma Hoffpauir; and her son-in-law Michael J. Abshire. She is survived by: her husband Donald Badon of Gueydan; her children, Joel Badon (Cassie) of Gueydan and Melanie Abshire of Gueydan; and her siblings, Elizabeth Gillentine of Crowley, Betty Meaux of Gueydan and Donald Meaux of Gueydan. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
