It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Lee Hughes of Grosse Tete, Louisiana, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on February 24, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hughes and Norma Eichelberger Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Hendricks Hughes; his sons, Espen, Ethan, Caleb Gaudet and Ryan Hughes; his stepchildren, Magan "Tori" Reed (Carl), Miles and Derek Gaudet; his daughter Michelle Hunter (Hugh); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn "Book", Austin Genusa, Aaron, Blayne, Gabe Hunter and Harley Gaudet; and his siblings, Raymond "Bob" Hughes (Donna), Gary Hughes (Darlene), Karen Hughes Russo (Sam) and Jeff Hughes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
