He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ballay Smith; his children, Duncan Smith, II (Annie) and Laura Stanford (Rob); his stepchildren, Woody Brown (Leslie), Brady Brown, Scott and Jenny Brown (Darrell); his grandchildren, Duncan Smith, III, Eliza Smith, Madeline Stanford Picchi, Abigail Stanford Taylor and Mary Stanford; his great grandchild Lorelai Taylor; and his brother Mike Smith. He is also survived by sister, Ann Downs; numerous nieces and nephews.
