She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucien Payne and Margaret Means; her husband Walter; her brother Lucien Jr.; her children, Shelia, Walter (Terrilyn-Hill Maurice) and Lisa (Michael Duckett Maurice); and her grandsons, Joseph Platt Jr. and Sheldon Maurice.
She is survived by: her sister Florence Larkin; her children, Patricia Maurice-Walker, Gail Maurice-Lombard and Vernon Maurice (Cassandra); her grandchildren, Michael Walton Jr., Ayana Hill, Walter Maurice Jr., Teriyon Hammond, Lindsey Meredith Maurice-Walker, Robert Israel Walker III, Alden Lombard III, Holden Lombard, Tiriki Clay and Michael Duckette; and her great grandchildren, Morning Walton, Jason Dean, Myles Walker, Tajha Clay and Laiyah Clay. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and many many friends.
