He is survived by: his children, Cordelia Elvira Russ, Caroline Russ, Emma Jean Russ and Jimmy Russ, III; and his siblings, Jessie Jones and Henry Russ. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the Second St. John Baptist Church (242 Avondale Garden Rd, Avondale, LA 70094). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. FACE MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED.
