It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Ann Sonnier of Gretna, Louisiana, born in Marrero, Louisiana, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Charles Rodriguez. She is survived by: her mother Hilda Rodriguez; her husband Paul Sonnier; her children, Christopher "Chris" Hotard and Elizabeth "Beth" Doty; her grandchildren, Damon, Logan, Trenton, Nathan and Grayson; her great grandchild Paige; and her siblings, Danny Rodriguez (late Karen), Malcolm Rodriguez (Tammy), Sarah Rodriguez and Nanette Saucier (JC). She is also survived by nephews, nieces.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
