She was predeceased by: her husband Russell Augustine; her parents, Fred Smith Jr. and Dora Hall Smith; and her siblings, Ferdinand Smith (Larry Smith) and Marva Ann Smith Bailey.

She is survived by: her children, Raquel Montrice Augustine and Russell Miguel Augustine; her grandson Antonio Shedrick Minor; her sister Glenda Mae Smith Nash; her aunt Evelina Mitchell; and her sister-in-law Diane Watson Smith.
