He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nagin, Sr. and Leona Mansion Nagin; and his siblings, Dorothy Nagin, Gloria Jarvis, Wardell Nagin, Sr., Keith Nagin, John "June" Nagin, Jr. and Gregory Edwin "Peach" Nagin.

He is survived by: his wife Theresa Nagin; his children, C. Ray Nagin, Jr. (Seletha), Wanda Nagin Smith and Alana Nagin; and his siblings, Ramona Millon and George Edwin Nagin. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and lifelong friends.
