He was predeceased by: his parents, A. G. Kennard and Zillah Hubbs Kennard; his close friend Cindy H. McMullan; his niece Vicki S. Ramsay; and his close friend Mart "Moon Pie" McMullan.
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia K. Depew (Les), Richard Swearingen (Paula), Kenneth Swearingen (Linda) and Lane Swearingen (Julie); his adoptive daughter Melissa McMullan Clark; and also London Dickerson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
