It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scott Matherne of Greensburg, Louisiana, born in Independence, Louisiana, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert, Almatine Scott, Alton and Marie Matherne. He is survived by: his daughter Tara Matherne; and his mother Clara Ann Scott Dupre. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the McKneely Funeral Home (110 E Factory St, Amite City, LA 70422). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McKneely Funeral Home - Amite (110 E Factory St, Amite City, LA 70422).
In lieu of flowers, Scott requested a donation in his memory for Tunnel to Towers or St. Joseph Hospice, Covington, LA.
