She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbern Effler and Mable Effler; her former husbands, Chuck McMaree, George Smith and Monroe Brumfield; her daughters, Jody Smith and Nolie Cutrer; her grandsons, Trey Ainsworth and Garrett Barber; and her siblings, Albert Rodriguez and Julia Baham.
She is survived by: her children, Tommie Smith (Mary), Hubert Brumfield, Jr. (Ashley), George Brumfield (Denise), Terry Waterman (Orville), Felicia Brabham (Mike) and Karen Smith Tate (Bennett); her siblings, Dewitt Effler (Theresa), Ella Welch and Dollie Frazier (Albert); and her granddaughter Brittany (Michael Landrenaux). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
