He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Bennett and Wilkie Tycer Bennett; and his brothers, Elbert Wayne Bennett, Bobby Ray Bennett, Hillary Arthur Bennett, Herbert Blair Bennett and David Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Clara A. Bennett; his children, Tammy B. Miller (Steven Miller) and Derrick L. Bennett (Cheryl Bennett); his siblings, Porcha B. Morrison and David Williams (Rindy); his grandsons, Marcus Allen Miller (Rachel), Douglas Lee Miller (Alyssa Kyzar) and Garrett Lane Bennett; and his great grandchild Emily Ann Miller.
