With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Hester (Grayson, Louisiana), who passed away on March 17, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Genny; his parents, Samuel Nathan Hester and Thelma Parker Hester; his brothers, Ellis Hester and Nathan Hester; and his stepson Troy Collins.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy; his sons-in-law, Roy Wise, DeAn, Paul West, Cherylan and Beau Chappell; his grandchildren, Chad, Natalie Wise, Emily, Chris Tucker, Morgan, Aaron Aitken, Molly, Casey Taylor, Sarah, Tim Joost and Matthew Chappell; his great grandchildren, Collier, Caroline Wise, Elliot, Lillian Tucker, Brody Aitken, Meadow Taylor and Lily Collins; and his siblings, Carolyn Hendrix (Arnold) and Bobby Hester.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers please make donations to Cross Roads Baptist Church in his honor.
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of inheritance, for your serve the Lord Christ.
