He was predeceased by: his parents, Christal Meredith (Chris) and Vertie Sanders Meredith; his half-brothers, Virgil, Billy and Lavelle Adkins; his cousins, Charles Ray, Kent, Terry Adkins and Those; his children, Lee Adkins (Jan), Bob Adkins (Christine), Donnie, Jeannie, Shannon and Travis Broussard; his grandchildren, Trevor Stewart, Logan, Katelynn, Kathrine, Kylee, Tyler Broussard, Sebastian, Jessi McCoy, Leith, Tyler Stewart and Zemora Stamper; and also Grace.
He is survived by: his siblings, Linda Shoemaker (Jeff), Larry Adkins (Cheryl) and Shelia Laffoon; and his half-brother Jim Shirley (Angie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Broussard, Sebastian and Jessi McCoy, Jordan Laffoon, William and Larry Wayne Adkins Jr. The family asks that donations be made to Riser Funeral Home at PO BOX 57, Columbia, La 71418 to help defray funeral expenses.
