He was predeceased by: his father James Edward Smith; and his siblings, Ernest Frank Smith and Barbara Ann Watts. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Sue Wise Smith of Columbia; his wife Merrick Weston Smith of Grayson; and his brother James Smith (Angela) of Monroe.
