He was predeceased by: his children, Wesley Nixon and Cowanna Elise Nixon; his great grandchild Haydon Ray; his father Wesley Nixon, Sr.; his siblings, Herman Carvin Nixon, Rosa Williams, Ellen Jones and Jerrylee Price; his grandmother Georgianna Stewart; and his parents-in-law, Ernest and Helen Richard Mart.
He is survived by: his wife Claudette Mart Nixon; his daughters, Demetra N. Bruce (Johnny), Jomekia D. Nixon (Cindy Williams) and Georgianna N. Bradley; his mother Pearl Sadie Nixon; and his siblings, Cristopher "Albert" Nixon, Joyce Ann Williams and Alice Nixon. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
